About the Instructors
Viviane graduated from SJSU with a BA in Psychology, minor in Child Development Spring 2015, and completed her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training certification under Noell Clark at Downtown Yoga Shala in San Jose (Spring 2016). A few months later, she completed Rainbow Kids Yoga (RKY) 3-day training in San Francisco under Lesley Carney, and the full 95hr certification with Gopala Yaffa (founder of RKY) in Los Angeles (Summer 2016). Viviane co-taught/subbed kids yoga classes for Downtown Yoga Shala in Fall 2016. Finally, in February 2018, with the support of Alan Marques providing the space at Heroes Martial Arts, POP Kids Yoga is up and running! With this concept, Viviane emphasizes a growth mindset and promotes the Process Over Product!

POP Kids Yoga is an acronym for Process Over Product, a concept in which we focus on each student's unique learning experience in order to promote success through trust and effort (whatever it may be for the individual) in a fun, positive way. POP Kids Yoga also strives to facilitate the child's creativity and autonomy. There is no right or wrong here, just another perspective! Therefore, by attending a POP Kids Yoga class, students are encouraged to share their ideas with their peers to better co-create a class that benefits EVERY ONE!
